ABOUT POW FOOD

A team passionate about the power of nutrition

Everyone at Pow Food is united around a shared belief: the power of nutrition to transform how we feel. Whether it’s our chefs in the kitchen, our nutritionists delivering workshops in offices across London, or our operational team collaborating with our suppliers, we’re all passionate about the impact good food choices have on our today and our tomorrow.

Together with our clients, we’re helping people live healthier, happier lives both in and outside the office.

Meet our Founders

Ali and Emily are the mother-daughter duo behind Pow Food, and our sister company NUUDA, which brings nutrition-first meals direct to your door. With backgrounds in high-end catering and luxury hospitality, they founded Pow Food in 2017 with a mission to revolutionise workplace catering with nutrition-first, sustainable food solutions.

Over the years, their commitment to nutrition has only grown, as they’ve both experienced first hand the power of food to transform how their body and mind feel. In a world overflowing with low-quality convenience foods, Ali and Emily believe it’s more important than ever to care about what we eat.

At Pow, we believe workplace nutrition is the cornerstone of proactive employee wellbeing: without it, other initiatives - workplace yoga, mindfulness, stress management, fail to have an impact. That’s why Ali, Emily and the rest of the team, have made it their mission to empower customers to enjoy high-quality, nutrient-rich meals that support both personal health and environmental sustainability every day.

Ali Warburton

With over 25 years in high-end catering and events, Ali built her first catering company from the ground up while raising her family as a single mother. Known for innovation and operational excellence, her teams catered four consecutive years at the MTV Cannes events and secured exclusive in-house catering partnerships with some of London’s most iconic venues, including Ministry of Sound, Pacha London, Fabric and Café Royal.

In 2010, Ali launched the UK’s first nutritionally designed catering service, quickly becoming the preferred caterer for high-end photographic shoots hosting A-list talent flying in from the US.

In 2018, she joined forces with Emily and together they founded Pow Food, bringing nutritionally designed catering into the workplace and helping businesses rethink food as a driver of wellbeing, performance and culture.

Head Nutritionist, Sam Bourne

Sam has been with us from the start, bringing science-backed nutrition into our meals, guiding recipe development, and ensuring every meal we deliver to our clients brings out the very best in their teams. She is responsible for building our nutritional promises, and designing our Pow Nutrition Programme to take our impact beyond the plate.

Creative Head Chef, Charles Merrington

Charlie is our long-standing partner chef, known for his distinctive approach that unites creativity, nutrition, and exceptional flavour. Raised in a family of pioneering chefs, Charlie was deeply influenced by his grandmother, Marie Merrington, who founded Gay Gourmet in the 1960s, an experience that gave him an early appreciation for food’s power, purpose, and endless possibilities.

After formally training as a chef, Charlie went on to spend more than 20 years working in some of London’s most respected kitchens. Today, we’re proud to have him leading our recipe development, proving that a nutrition-first philosophy can, and should - always be flavour-first.
