Everyone at Pow Food is united around a shared belief: the power of nutrition to transform how we feel. Whether it’s our chefs in the kitchen, our nutritionists delivering workshops in offices across London, or our operational team collaborating with our suppliers, we’re all passionate about the impact good food choices have on our today and our tomorrow.

Together with our clients, we’re helping people live healthier, happier lives both in and outside the office.

Meet our Founders

Ali and Emily are the mother-daughter duo behind Pow Food, and our sister company NUUDA, which brings nutrition-first meals direct to your door. With backgrounds in high-end catering and luxury hospitality, they founded Pow Food in 2017 with a mission to revolutionise workplace catering with nutrition-first, sustainable food solutions.

Over the years, their commitment to nutrition has only grown, as they’ve both experienced first hand the power of food to transform how their body and mind feel. In a world overflowing with low-quality convenience foods, Ali and Emily believe it’s more important than ever to care about what we eat.

At Pow, we believe workplace nutrition is the cornerstone of proactive employee wellbeing: without it, other initiatives - workplace yoga, mindfulness, stress management, fail to have an impact. That’s why Ali, Emily and the rest of the team, have made it their mission to empower customers to enjoy high-quality, nutrient-rich meals that support both personal health and environmental sustainability every day.

“Nutrition-led catering isn’t a trend we’ve followed, it’s the foundation we were built on.

At Pow Food, we’re proud to be the UK’s pioneers in nutrition-first catering. Since day one, our mission has been to support businesses that genuinely care about what their teams are eating, where it comes from and most importantly, how it makes them feel.

Whether it’s a team lunch, client meeting, or a full-scale working conference, we’re here to make good nutrition the cornerstone of modern workplace culture. Because when people eat well, they perform better and everyone thrives.”

“My passion for nutritious, sustainable food has been a driving force in my life for as long as I can remember.

It’s something I live and breathe every single day.”

Head Nutritionist, Sam Bourne

Sam has been with us from the start, bringing science-backed nutrition into our meals, guiding recipe development, and ensuring every meal we deliver to our clients brings out the very best in their teams. She is responsible for building our nutritional promises, and designing our Pow Nutrition Programme to take our impact beyond the plate.

Creative Head Chef, Charles Merrington

Charlie’s signature approach to food, combining creativity, nutrition and flavour, is unforgettable. Growing up surrounded by creative chefs, his Grandmother, Marie Merrington, founded Gay Gourmet in the 1960s, gave Charlie a deep appreciation for all of food’s possibilities. After training as a chef, Charlie has worked in some of the best restaurants in London for over 20 years. We are proud to have him leading our recipe development today, so that nutrition-first can also mean flavour-first.
